The hyperjudicialization of airlines in Brazil

With more than 98% of actions involving international airlines, Brazil needs to improve its regulation and monitor hyperjudicialization.

The hyperjudicialization of aviation in Brazil reaches superlative levels and gains prominence in the world, as seen at the “Luso-Brazilian Meeting of Law and Economy”, held in Lisbon, Portugal, in October 2023. According to data from the Brazilian Institute of Aeronautical Law (Ibaer), the country accounts for around 98.5% of global legal actions involving international airlines that operate directly in its territory.
