The Krona Group confirmed this Wednesday, May 3, the completion of the Viqua acquisition process, approved without reservations by the Brazilian Antitrust Agency (CADE).

In February last year, the company learned of the sale offer through the IGC, a specialized company hired by Viqua, and in turn, hired Vestea Capital to advise on the negotiation, in addition to having the legal support of /asbz. The first offer was made in August and, after winning the competitive bidding process, the contract was signed in February this year.

Krona’s chief executive officer, Fernando Oliveira, took on the same role at Viqua, replacing Daniel Alberto Cardozo Junior.
Viqua’s industrial and HR areas now report to the respective sectors at Krona, managed by Rogério Kohntopp and Samuel da Silva P. Francisco.
Viqua’s financial, commercial and marketing departments remain unchanged. The commercial sector will operate independently.
The brand remains unchanged. Some joint marketing actions between the two companies are scheduled to occur soon.
With the acquisition, Krona now has five units: four in Joinville, where it was created in 1994, and one in Marechal Deodoro (AL).
